Dici Isola del Liri e pensi “Cascata Grande”. Isola del Liri, è infatti l’unica città italiana che può vantare una cascata in pieno centro storico. Uno scenario di cui è impossibile non innamorarsi, passeggiando mano nella mano con qualcuno, e lasciandosi travolgere dal rumore fragoroso della cascata, che con il suo salto di circa 27 metri, si posiziona sul podio, tra le mete più romantiche da visitare. Non tutti sanno però che isola del Liri ospita altre due cascate, meno imponenti ma altrettanto suggestive. “La cascata del Valcatoio”, nel parco Fluviale ed una terza nascosta tra le rovine della cartiera Lefebvre, uno dei tanti esempi di archeologia industriale del paese, che racconta la vocazione storica del luogo.
Da non perdere, la visita al Castello Boncompagni Viscogliosi (dove si domina la vista sulla Cascata Grande), la cartiera Boimond (che ospita la macchina continua), e la Galleria E.Pisani.

Isola del Liri is, in fact, the only town in Italy with a waterfall right in the heart of its historic center — a breathtaking scene that’s impossible not to fall in love with. Stroll hand in hand with someone special and let yourself be captivated by the thunderous roar of the falls, which plunge nearly 27 meters and earn the town a spot among the most romantic destinations to visit. But not everyone knows that Isola del Liri is home to two other waterfalls — smaller yet equally enchanting. The Valcatoio Waterfall, located in the River Park, and a third one, hidden among the ruins of the Lefebvre Paper Mill, one of many fascinating examples of industrial archaeology that tell the story of the town’s historic vocation.
Don’t miss a visit to the Boncompagni Viscogliosi Castle (offering a stunning view of the Cascata Grande), the Boimond Paper Mill (where you can admire the macchina continua paper machine), and the E. Pisan Art Gallery.
