La cosiddetta porta dell’Arenale è uno degli antichi accessi al paese. E’ costituita da un arco gotico, sotto il quale è presente la porta d’ingresso della chiesa dell’Annunziata, la seconda chiesa del borgo, anticamente ospedale ed ospizio per i poveri e pellegrini.
The so-called Porta dell’Arenale is one of the ancient gateways to the village. It consists of a Gothic arch, beneath which stands the entrance to the Church of the Annunciation, the town’s second church, which in the past served as a hospital and hospice for the poor and for pilgrims.
