Pineta Valle dell'Inferno - Vallerotonda

Nei pressi di Vallerotonda, a circa 2 km dalla frazione Cerreto, è situata anche la cosiddetta Pineta Valle, terza area boschiva in Italia per estensione, ideale per passeggiate rilassanti e pic-nic immersi nella natura. Piantumata dai militari austroungarici durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale come parte di un progetto di riforestazione, la pineta è costuita principalmente da pini neri, ma vi sono anche ginepri, abeti e faggi. Al suo interno non sono rari gli incontri con scoiattoli, donnole, faine, volpi e rapaci.
Near Vallerotonda, about 2 km from the hamlet of Cerreto, lies the so-called Pineta Valle, the third-largest forested area in Italy by size, ideal for relaxing walks and nature-filled picnics. Planted by Austro-Hungarian troops during the First World War as part of a reforestation project, the pine forest is mainly composed of black pines, alongside junipers, firs, and beeches. Wildlife sightings are common, including squirrels, weasels, martens, foxes, and birds of prey.
