Completamente ristrutturata, la Chiesa di Santa Croce fuori le Mura è stata eretta dai Conti d’Aquino, devotissimi alla Santa Croce. È la tipica chiesetta dei castelli medievali, costruita fuori le mura. Qui, quasi certamente, è stato battezzato e ha pregato proprio San Tommaso d’Aquino. Per molti secoli è stata chiesa madre del Borgo.

Completely restored, the Church of Santa Croce fuori le Mura was built by the Counts of Aquino, who were deeply devoted to the Holy Cross. It is a typical small church of medieval castles, constructed outside the town walls. Here, Saint Thomas Aquinas was almost certainly baptized and prayed. For many centuries, it served as the mother church of the village.
