Di particolare rilevanza e storicità è la Chiesa della Madonna dei Sette Dolori, costruita sull’area della scomparsa chiesa di S.Maria. La sua storia è strettamente legata a quella di Montecassino. Ancora oggi custodisce la statua della Madonna, realizzata probabilmente attorno al 1400 da un ignoto artista napoletano, ritenuta un capolavoro di arte e pietà popolare.

Of particular historical and cultural significance is the Church of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, built on the site of the former Church of Santa Maria. Its history is closely linked to that of Montecassino. To this day, it preserves the statue of the Madonna, probably created around 1400 by an unknown Neapolitan artist and considered a masterpiece of art and popular devotion.
