La Chiesa di San Nicola è un edificio di grande valore storico e artistico. Risalente al X secolo, è considerata monumento nazionale protetto dalla Soprintendenza ai Beni Culturali, grazie ai ricchi ed affascinanti affreschi che contiene al suo interno, dell’XI e XII secolo. Nel corso degli anni, sono stati effettuati diversi interventi di restauro conservativo: l’ultimo ha permesso di ricostruire la copertura dell’abside e di recuperare il pavimento antistante e laterale alla navata principale.

The Church of San Nicola is a building of great historical and artistic value. Dating back to the 10th century, it is considered a national monument protected by the Cultural Heritage Authority, thanks to the rich and fascinating frescoes preserved inside, dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. Over the years, several conservation restoration works have been carried out; the most recent made it possible to reconstruct the apse roof and restore the flooring in front of and alongside the main nave.
